Dr. Jean Houston Global Community and Sustainable Leadership Contributing Expert
Scholar,
philosopher, and researcher Dr. Jean Houston is one of the foremost
visionary thinkers of our time.
A powerful and dynamic speaker and author, she
holds conferences and seminars with social leaders, educational
institutions and business organizations worldwide.
A prolific writer, Dr. Houston has authored 26
books, including "A Passion for the Possible", "Search for the Beloved",
"Life Force", "The Possible Human", "Public Like a Frog", "A Mythic
Life: Learning to Live Our Greater Story" and "Manual of The
Peacemaker."
Dr. Jean Houston had the privilege of serving as
an advisor for two years to President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton
and helped Hillary Clinton write "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child."
She has also worked with President Jimmy Carter
and Mrs. Carter and counseled leaders in similar positions in many
countries and cultures.
A past President of the Association of Humanistic
Psychology, Dr. Jean Houston has taught philosophy, psychology, and
religion at a number of universities across the country including
Columbia University, Hunter College, New School for Social Research and
Marymount College.
Dr. Jean Houston has also spent time working in
100 countries helping to enhance and deepen their own uniqueness as they
become part of the global community. Her ability to inspire and
invigorate people enables her to readily convey her vision — the finest
possible achievement of individual potential.
In 1965, along with her husband Dr. Robert
Masters, Dr. Jean Houston founded The Foundation for Mind Research. She
is also the founder and principal teacher of the Mystery School, a
school of human development and a program of cross-cultural, mythic and
spiritual studies dedicated to teaching history, philosophy, the New
Physics, psychology, anthropology, myth and the many dimensions of human
potential.
Dr. Jean Houston has received a mandate to teach
and develop 10,000 social artistry leaders who will go forth and teach
and help 1,000,000 additional leaders.
Dr. Jean Houston holds a B.A. from Barnard
College, a Ph.D. in psychology from the Union Graduate School and a
Ph.D. in religion from the Graduate Theological Foundation. She has also
been the recipient of honorary decorates. |
